Beware of Laglag Bala at NAIA

There have been reports of balikbayans and foreigners there were victimized by some NAIA personnel at the airport.

There was an old couple from the Bay Area who recently visited the country. When their luggage was opened, the NAIA personnel allegedly found two live bullets, no gun, just bullets. The guys daw asked for $500. There was a foreigner who was walking then a security officer picked up a bullet on the floor, allegedgly coming from the guy’s belongings. He was asked to cough out P30,000.

We Filipinos are known to be creative. However some of our kababayans use this talent for criminal activities. Mag-ingat po tayo. When we travel, there are too many creative criminals, anywhere in the world, who could try to victimize us for whatever scheme. Ako narin na biktima na sa ibang bansa. Taxi drivers naman. Let’s be wary and aware.

Reminder: Balikbayan— pls check the maximum number of days you are allowed to stay here, if you intend to stay for more than that, please secure the necessary permits para hindi kayo ma-target. This is a legitimate rule used by some unscrupulous immigration personnel as a ploy to earn some money.

Appeal to authorities: Let’s treat our visitors, Filipinos and foreigners, residents or tourists, with kindness and sincere hospitality. Huwag po nating taluhin. Salamat po.

  1. Those personnel dont know how to value their job. Tsk. They are jeopardizing their work para sa halagang madaling mawala kasi di pinaghirapang trabahuhin 🙁
