This is my nth time here at Taal Vista Hotel but I think I would try a different hotel next time. Medyo nasasawa na ako. The rooms have a bad sound proofing. I could hear people talking from the hallway, carts being pushed, children playing and crying, couples arguing, tourists stomping their feet while walking. The toilet exhaust fan is noisy. I could tell every time my room neighbor goes to the toilet. The sound of his exhaust fan vibrates in my head.
Oh eto na naman. Grrrrrrooooooooo. My husband said Taal Vista is only a 3 star. Their literature says 4 star.
I checked in at 5:30 after doing my rounds. It was cold and foggy outside so I just stayed in the room instead of looking for somewhere to eat dinner.
By 8 pm, I was beginning to feel hungry, I ordered room service, pansit bihon guisado. The operator said 30 to 45 minutes.
The pansit arrived hot. It looks hot too, plenty of sahog (ingredients).
The only thing I didn’t like was there were some pancit canton noodles mixed with the bihon. I specifically ordered pansit BIHON. I never liked pansit bihon mixed with canton. Nababaduyan ako. If I like canton I would order canton. Mixing the two— para bang you cannot decide ano ba gusto mo? Bihon or canton. Choose one.
My driver enjoys having buffet breakfasts here at the hotel. That’s one of his perks. He gets to keep the money I give him for his food, and instead, he comes here and have a feast.
Champorado and hot choco drink (both chocolates)
I tried both the arroz caldo and champorado. When the waiter announced “last call”, I stood up and went to the congee station.
I scolded a Chinese tourist this morning for sniffing the patis (fish sauce) too close to his nose, almost touching his nostrils. I was aghast. I couldn’t control my disgust, I said to him “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Chinese male tourist—— “Smelling”.
Omb———————– “My God you are so rude. You put it too close to your face and nose. Other people are going to eat that”.
Kala ko bubuhusan ako ng patis. Buti umalis.
I still got a small serving of lugaw but I skipped the patis.
Mainit talaga ulo ko sa kanila. They continue to invade our patrimony.
I too, dont like canton mixed with bihon. Hmm.. Actually, I never liked canton eversince, that’s why. Hehe.. 🙂
Kudos to you Ms. Annie for scolding the Chinese tourist. He was rude and indeed disgusting. He couldve transferred airborne organisms sa patis just by sniffing. At paano na lang kung dumikit yung ilong nya and no one saw him? And who does that anyway?? Hay.. Kaya nga I was really praying last night na sana Gilas beats China sa FIBA Asia. Kaso hindi eh. Kahit sa basketball, they were bullies. Before and during the game.
(buti na lang din po the Chinese tourist didn’t hurt you.)
Hmm.. parang this is not just about the pancit and the patis anymore. Hehe.. 🙂
