Voting for best blogs has begun

I never wanted to be a class officer in school. During nomination, ayaw ko na agad. I hated seeing my name written on the blackboard, pitted against my classmates. I felt so awkward. But some of my classmates were made for the job. Pwedeng mga pulitiko. Ako hindi. I was shy and felt uneasy that I would be put to a vote. The votes were like a validation of what stuff I was made of. It just didn’t feel good.

Even when I was still active in business organizations. Every year, I would get a message from the secretariat of this and that organization that I had been nominated for directorship. Okay lang naman, but in the past 10 years, my interest and willingness to be a part of this exercise waned.

Kaya nga rin I didn’t entertain suggestions to run for councilor or vice mayor in our town. Nanay ko po, marami na nga akong stress, dadagdagan ko pa. I also turned down Binay’s and Mar’s requests to be their running mate. Okay na si Honasan kay Binay, and Robredo is more charming than OMB.

This blogging thing is funny. While I never asked anyone in the past to vote for me. eto naman sa ohmybuhay eh nanga-ngampanya. Not because I want to win. I just don’t want to be kulelat. Libu-libo yata ang bloggers. Sa bagay I will never know naman that I am at the bottom, lest the organizers publish it. Eh wag na, matunaw pa ako sa hiya.
