Royal Villa - Oh My Buhay

The driver / tour guide brought us next to the Royal Villa or Royal Village, supposedly the most elegant and grandest among the villages in Balesin Island Club resort in Quezon Province.

The white building could actually be seen when the plain is landing. It’s at the tip of the island.

The long driveway is still unpaved which negates the designers’ goal to impress.

The main entrance’s wow factor is missing.

Two grand staircases tried to steal my attention as soon as we stepped in at the foyer. I was trying to feel what design element the designers tried to achieve. The attempt for grandiosity is there.

Alam ko na bakit I didn’t say wow. I found it a little bit too cluttered.

The large deck has a fantastic view of the sunset. The downside is it’s afternoon sun. It’s just too hot and glary.

Must be beautiful here at sundown for private gatherings.

The view is gorgeous. I would sit here in the morning while the sun is still on the other side. Then come back to watch the sunset.

Not a good day to explore the outdoors. All I need is a frying pan and I can cook pancakes from the heatwave.

This whole building has enough guest suites for fifty people if I remember it right. The rent I think is P150,000 for one night. The rooms are not for rent individually, the minimum rent is for one wing. The figures I mentioned could be inaccurate so if you are interested, contact Balesin for verification.

All the bedrooms are on the second floor.

This is the bedroom suite where Heart Evangelista reportedly stayed the night of her wedding. Of course they blocked off the whole village.

Bathroom appointments are pretty much standard.

Too many furniture inside the bedroom. I couldn’t see Heart.

The room has a private balcony with jacuzzi. What a perfect setting for honeymooners.
