1. We all know that all bacons are fatty. And yet we still keep on buying them. I found a pack that’s less fatty because according to the label, middle cut daw.

I fry them crispy and place paper towels on the plate to absorb most of the fats. Sometimes I slice them into tiny pieces, parang bacon sprinkles.

2. Good morning Starbucks. Sobrang init nung sandwich, napaso dila ‘ko.

3. There was a 4″ long centipede that was able to crawl into our house. I found it on the carpet near a door. Nakakakilabot.

4. Every morning, my daughter reports the number of ipises she was able to kill the night before. There’s a roach infestation in our kitchens.
One under the ref, one near the kitchen door, two here, one there. Kilabot ulit. The good thing is it has made her tougher. When she was little up until she was in high school, she would shriek and scamper away at the sight of ipis. Ngayon, matapang na. Nasanay na kasi. Pak! Pak! Pak! Goodbye ipis.

5. We women give ourselves too much credit.

9. Last night, I told Edmund I used to hate labanos. I would cover my nose whenever my mom grates them into atchara. Bahung-baho ako. Tapos lalagyan pa nya ng suka. Nay ko po. Wharrrk!
Edmund —–“Gustung gusto ko yang labanos, lalo na atchara? Ang sarap nun”.
Edmund said the veggies we hated when we were younger, we now enjoy and crave for. Dati daw he hated ampalaya, ngayon naman, ang sarap ng ulam natin, ampaley! Dala daw yun ng edad. Our bodies naturally look for food that is good for us.

10. Iba talaga tayong Filipino. Walang tatalo sa atin kung inglisan lang. Lalo na yung mga balikbayan. Daming tourists ngayon kasi summer vacation ng mga bata.
