Burning Tongue Syndrome - Oh My Buhay

Burning Tongue Syndrome

Edmund’s bell palsy is on it’s 2nd month. The face distortion is almost unnoticeable. What bothers him the most is the dizziness. And lately it was aggravated by the feeling of a burnt tongue. Doctors couldn’t understand what he was talking about when he told them parang sunog ang dila nya. The ENT couldn’t find anything wrong with his mouth and throat.

He did some research, thanks to Google, and discovered that there’s such a thing as a Burning Tongue Syndrome. Millions of people are afflicted by it.
There is no known cause and no treatment or medication.

He stumbled upon a video recommending a thirty minute hot foot bath with a mixture of epsom salt and hydrogen peroxide.

Mercury drug sells tiny packets of epsom salt for 45 pesos.
When in water, it breaks down into magnesium sulfate and is absorbed by the body through the skin.

According to the video, the feeling of burning is caused by hard metals coming out of your body. If you are having some chelation therapy or detoxification, metals will come out of your body either thru your tongue, perspiration, or thru your feet. It relieves muscle tension, migraine, cramps and many others.

Edmund had been soaking his feet for half hour for the past three days and we both hope that soon his burning tongue syndrome would be gone.

hot foot bath with epsom salt

Beginning tomorrow I will also have hot foot bath even with ordinary salt. My mom used to do that. Pang alis daw ng manas, pasma at lamig sa katawan.

  1. Ms Annie, why don’t you try this time a prayer to treat the medical issues of Mr. Edmund. Pray a Memorare for 9 consecutive hours, a novena every hour. After saying Memorare, mention your intention, “I ask you Merciful God, to heal me, (my dizziness, and my burning tongue) through intercession of Mary, in Jesus name.” Amen.

It was effective for me last week, when I was dizzy every minute, and afraid to fall. My plan was to go to the emergency room the following morning, but that night I began my novena every hour to Mary, Memorare. I really wake up every hour to pray. The following morning, dizziness was gone. It has been a week now that I am free of my dizziness. Someone told me dizziness has something to do with the ears, especially when the ears are in pain.

  2. Dear Dee,
He had his ears checked twice already and nothing wrong was found.
Will do the 9 days novena prayers.
    Thank you.

  3. Hi Annie,
Yes, Burning tongue syndrome is like a puzzle to medical profession.
Regarding Epsom Salt, I’ve read in Chuvaness blog about the newly opened Landers Supermarket in Balintawak ,it’s new and it’s like Costco / S&R. Meron sila Epsom salt in small packs. Allen & I, we also use it to relieve sore feet etc.
I pray that Edmund will feel better very soon! Take care!
