Five days in New York Day 1

Let me begin this super delayed post by thanking Ramon Dimacali, president of FPG Insurance and his team for rewarding us again with an all expenses paid travel holiday, this time in New York. Thank you to Federal Phoenix Insurance Group (FPG).

Arranged by Bridges Travel headed by its owner Sabina Pe, the short vacation went smoothly. How we wished there was an extra night and a full day to relax and explore NY on our own.

Day 1 April 23, 2016

We all took the PAL flight to NY with a short one or hours stop-over in Vancouver. It was a very long flight.

By the time we reached our hotel, it was way past midnight and my energy level was at 10%.

I was tired but not my daughter. NY is home to her.

It was freezer-like cold. Rewind: When my husband saw some sweater in my maleta, he discouraged me from bringing winter clothes kasi daw it’s summer already I should be bringing shorts ad tsinelas instead. Summer ha? It was freezing when we went out to walk.

It was still glitzy even at two in the morning.

We looked for food and found a fastfood just across the hotel. They’re open 24 hours.

Even at 3 am, there were still people eating, walking, dating. NY never sleeps.
