OMB Tweets # 68 - Oh My Buhay

1. One time I bought a tiny table, I checked the box only after two days. To my dismay, it contained two legs. I had to drive back to Target to return it. Abala.

Sometimes it pays to open the packaging before paying.
Look at this box of chocolate. Buti na lang I opened it. Halos ubos na ang laman.

I left that particular box open to warn other customers and to alert the store keepers to remove that particular box.

2. I found this Poo-pourri products inside a bookstore. Actually this is a useful and thoughtful product. It’s a courtesy to the next person who’s going to use the toilet.
I wanted to buy just to patronize this noble idea but the price per bottle is $15 which I found a little too high for that purpose. This product would fly if the cost is probably a lot lower say $5. Maybe they should re-do the packaging to lower their cost.

3. My husband is into color red this month. He bought a pair of red shoes, red shirts, red pants, red jacket and red sweater. Ewan baka sasali sa parada sa Ongpin on Chinese New Year. It could also be his 2017 fashion trend.

I like red too. I wore a red blouse on Christmas Eve, I bought from JC Penny for $50 less 50% off = $25 less extra 20% off = $20 na lang.

The problem with red clothes is it’s too risky washing them together with other clothes. It’s better to be safe than sorry. They need to be washed separately.

Etong sweater ni Mister Yee for example. Buti na lang wala syang kasama.

4. I need a new lap top. One that’s a lot lighter than the one I am using now. And also hopefully faster. Etong laptop ko, after I switched the power on, I leave it muna for a while to do chores, then I will come back for a few minutes, type my password, then leave it again for a few minutes. comeback, then it’s good to go. Hay bagal.
this HP Envy looks promising, it’s slim and lighter. Eto na lang kaya?

5. Kenneth Cole’s stores are closing this month. Several brands are following suit. Macy’s announced closing dozens of stores too around the country. When I saw the big sale signage at a store near us I asked the sales lady “Did they say if they’re keeping this store?” She said “oh yes, we’re glad”. I answered “Oh I am glad too. I don’t want you to close”.

7. You’ve got to go out and personally shop at stores. The discounts are tremendous. Get off that computer and enjoy the old fashioned way of buying at the stores.

8. Three cars parked in front of us were broken into. All their stuff were stolen by car-riding men. Their auto glass at that same right side had been smashed.

  1. Dear Ms. Annie. It’s becoming 2008 again, seems like it. Dow is 20,000, stores are closing but the national debt is even higher at 19.8T
