My niece has just started work as restaurant manager of Sixto Cantina, a Mexican Restaurant
located along the chic street Downtown Burlingame Avenue.
The restaurant has a high ceiling and it has a veranda like mezzanine and patio for a more cozy dining. It's big enough for private and corporate events.
We chose to stay on the main dining hall. There were several tables occupied and about 8 white males and females were drinking cocktails at the bar. They were well-dressed and my impression was that they came from their respective offices.
We started with nachos with guacamole dip
Carnitas
Yan ang mahirap pag tiga-kain lang, hindi alam kung ano ang isinusubo. I just kept on eating I didn't bother to know what I was putting in my mouth. They were all delicious.
The restaurant is located in one of Burlingame's charming streets. It's high end, safe, and pedestrian friendly. Walking from end to end is enjoyable. Aside from dozens of restaurants, there are also hundreds of boutique shoppes that offer clothes, home decors, cigars, shoes, bags, wines, etc. Kate Spade and Anthropologie are there too.
I like the quality of the stores in Burlingame, they are high-end.
I was able to buy some $200 worth of wines and Italian made chocolates for gifts.
It was too cold. Although I wore several layers, the temperature had dropped, too cold for my tolerance. It felt like my toes and back were being blast frozen. We didn't finish our shopping exploration but we vowed to come back.
