Refund cellphone charges

On Feb 13, I couldn’t use my internet because the payment reminder from PLDT keeps popping up and blocking my usage. It says our payment of P3,000 something is due on February 13. That means our payment is not yet overdue. But on that day, they were already blocking us for using the connection. Is that a good thing to do? While I do understand that it’s every company’s desire to collect on time, but blocking usage when the account is not yet overdue is the height of arrogance. You only block customers from using your services when they are not paying, for brevity, when the account is OVERDUE. In this particular case, it’s not yet overdue. I found that insulting and extremely annoying.

Here at Ford EDSA, it’s difficult to use the wifi because a PLDT payment reminder pops us on the screen every so often. Even if the company does not have an overdue account, it still prevents us from peacefully using our internet. When our people complained, their customer service said “ganun talaga”.

Last Valentines Day, these telcos must have raked in hundreds of millions in dropped calls, repetitive calls. To speak to someone took at least 10 times calling to complete a sentence. “What? Anong sabi mo? Pls repeat your last sentence”. “Okay I will dial again”. “Hello, hello, hello”. Dial again. “Line was cut, sorry. As I was saying… hello, hello”.

Pesteng ngya wok! What a high tech life.

They are earning dozens of billions a year and yet we are here, hapless phone users. Nabibingi na ako sa kahe-hello hello, can you hear me?

Telcos should refund the extra charges. Instead of texting once, I had to re-send and re-send and re-send countless times. Instead of one single call, I had to re-dial and re-dial and re-dial.
Pls refund to us helpless customers the overcharges due to repetitive calls and texts due not to our faults.

  1. Its really frustrating here in the Phils the wifi too. Alam ko maraming mas matinding problema dapat harapin ang gobyerno pero naman mas mabilis pa internet sa Myanmar kesa sa atin. To think that they just opened up their country very recently and tayo yung matagal ng meron infrastructure setup for all of these technologies. Every time I go home here for a visit, pabagal ng pabagal ang internet.
