We have a tarragon plant inside the ref.
One cup of hot water only needs a tiny sprig because the herb’s flavor is very strong.
2. My husband has a habit of letting me choose the restaurant but when I pick something he’s not in the mood for, that’s the time he would say ayaw nya don. That’s why I prefer that he chooses, kasi I am matakaw so kahit saan pwede ako.
Last Sunday, we went to Shangrila Plaza mall to look for a restaurant.
After I picked, he blurted out “Ayaw ko, gusto ko Filipino food”.
We went to Corazon and left satisfied. We had sinigang soup, lechon paksiw, kinilaw na tuna with grilled liempo, haluhalo for me and guinumis for him. Sobra kaming busog.
3. Red bell peppers (chili) with tortang ground pork for breakfast.
4. When I am abroad, I couldn’t resist buying cute paper napkins. Ang problem, because of the humidity in Manila, the napkins begin to smell luma after a few months. And my family don’t want to use them even when they are on the table. They would still use the plain white ones. Maybe I should stop buying paper table napkins kasi sayang lang.
5. It’s so frustrating to see how the bad air pollution in the city is wreaking havoc on my curtains. The white turns gray. The beige turns gray too.
6. Edmund is hosting a dinner for a dozen of his golfer friends, those joining the Golf Week with him. I don’t have a dozen placements of the same design. I forgot I even have this new placemats. I only have six of this. I couldn’t remember where I bought them. Most likely in the US, but I don’t remember which particular store. Grabe na akong ulyanin. I hope my memory comes back because I would like to buy 6 more of this design.
My utensils are also kulang kulang na rin.
They disappeared.
7. We sprinkle turmeric powder on the sinaing that’s why our rice is yellow. I’ve already told the kusinera not to overcook the sunny side up eggs. She always said “oo mam” pero pag-ulit, ganun na naman. She fries them. Talagang prito kaya the underpart is malutong na.
I bought the small dried tawilis from Tagaytay for P100 for 3 small packs.
Edmund said they are too salty.
8. I was attracted to the color and embroidery design of this Lenox table napkins and placemats. I wanted to have a garden-style table setting at the same time masculine. I wasn’t sure whether this would be bagay. I asked the sales lady to get 14 sets, then I changed my mind, four muna, trial lang.
I bought 4 Lenox placemats with matching napkins from Rustan’s to see how they would look at my table setting. My daughter said they are too girly to be used for daddy’s dinner party. I liked the color teal but the flowers and butterflies are indeed girly. Mga macho pa mandin sila.
9. I bought 4 pieces of that flowers and garden jar. It matches my idea of having a garden-like setting. I thought of buying a few bird houses but they were too big. The collapsible plastic tables I will use for the dinner is narrow and there will be no space for a center setting.
10. When I got home, I set-up the napkin and placemat to see how they would look with my plates. Ay, My daughter is right, medyo girly nga hindi bagay.
The napkin ring holder that looks like a bird cage is from France. I bought it three years ago but I haven’t used them yet even once. Ayun nangaunti na rin, nawala na yung iba. Cute no?
Hi ms. Annie, Re girly placemat, not that girly at all coz it’s not pink nmn, I like it very much pang garden tlga. Also para mga macho ma appreciate ang nature. Cgurado mas enjoy ang dinner.
