Heathrow and Holiday Inn

Our flight from Manila was delayed by 1 hour and a half. Instead of arriving at 8 pm, we landed at 9:30 pm. It was turbulent all the way. Small chops but frequent. There were a few moderate ones pero I was high in Bonamine so it didn’t bother me much.

Edmund rented a van he found online to pick us up from the airport. He emailed to them the number of big and small luggage plus 5 golf bags so that they would send the right size of van. When we saw the van, we knew right away there was no way it could accommodate all seven of us including our luggage.

The driver and owner of the van, an Indian guy with no British Accent, made two trips. He brought the first batch to Holiday Inn where we would spend one night. Then he went back to the airport to pickup Edmund, Elmer, Roger, and Rolly.

While waiting at the hotel, the reception told us there was only one room booked by Edmund. He was also looking for the credit card used to book the rooms. We had no choice but to wait till Edmund comes.

I only had 3 hours of sleep the day we left. Counting from the time I woke up till we reached this hotel, that’s 21.5 long hours. My eyes were duling na from sleepiness and my body was terribly aching for a comfortable bed.

We’re only spending a night here so Edmund chose the Holiday Inn hotel close to London’s Heathrow International Airport. When we entered the room, Oh my it’s so tiny. Edmund joined the two twin beds together to make one king bed. I was exhausted, as soon as he had pushed the beds against the wall, I jumped in and passed out. I was really exhausted.

We’re taking another flight the next day via British Airways to Edinburgh.
