The ride from the airport to the city of Edinburgh took about half hour stretching 9 miles.
Scotland really has a distinguishing character. Just looking at the centuries old buildings make me feel the city’s vibe.
Edmund booked our hotel online. I have no hand in his choices. We’re traveling with his friends so bahala sya sa arrangement. He knows his friends’ preferences better.
He booked a hotel right at the Grassmarket area which is actually in the center.
There are dozens of cafes along Grassmarket just in front of our hotel
This is the entrance to our residence for 3 days, Apex Hotel, Grassmarket.
There are two Apex Hotels in this area. We are at the Grassmarket one.
I don’t know what the differences are between the two Apex hotels but I noticed that this one has a crocodile while the other one has a cow.
Rolly requested for a separate room whne we arrived at Apex because the previous night, Roger was not able to sleep because Rolly snored so loud.
The room rate was 200+ pounds shilling a night. They are staying for two nights so that would be over four hundred pounds additional.
Rolly—-“Kailangan kong kumuha ng extra room kasi…”
Yung misis daw kasi nya ang sabi hindi na sya naghihilik kaya hindi na nya dinala yung kanyang portable cpap machine.
Rolly—- “Four hundred pounds? Pwede naman akong maki share…”
We all laughed.
Elmer, Roger, Rolly, Edmund, and Boy are not the only ones joining in the golf tournament. The others are staying in another hotel, and some are going straight to St. Andrews.
