Restaurante Mordisco

Continuation of Barcelona Travel Diary, May 2017

Cynthia Nakpil’s travel planning normally does not include telling us where we would eat next. She always likes to say “it’s a surprise”. A surprise could go both ways, a good surprise and a bad surprise. With Cynthia, she did so well in choosing us good restaurants in Budapest so Ramon Dimacali trusted her again to plan for Barcelona. And again, with her, eating will always be part of the planned surprise. So far, she hasn’t failed us here in Barcelona. So far so good.

We walked several blocks to go to our next dinner, at Restaurante Mordisco.
We didn’t know where we were going, we just followed Cynthia.

The building is located in a quiet alley that looks residential. It stands out because of the prints on the whole wall.

When I travel, I just keep taking photos and don’t take down notes. And most of the time, I don’t remember the places and foods, I only refresh my memory when I start posting about them. And when I post at a must later ddate, naku lalo ko nang hindi matandaan. This one is a good example. It’s only now that I remembered that I was the one pala who ordered and ate the seafood paella.

I think it was Bong who ordered this.

I am guessing that it was Ramon Dimacali who ordered this plate of lamb chops or lamb ribs with mushrooms and vegetables Euro 16.80. I am also guessing that he didn’t finish the whole plate. He’s like that, he likes to eat but he doesn’t finish his food. Siguro nagpapa sexy.

There was another big group coming so we had to order quick and eat fast, and skip dessert.

Uh I almost forgot, one or two kitchen personnel were Filipinos. Maybe the chefs.

When my family gets a chance to visit Barcelona maybe in 3 years, God willing, I’ll bring them here at Mordisco. My son likes lamb ribs. My daughter will surely like the garden-like setting / ambiance.
