Breakfast Buffet at Taal Vista Hotel - Oh My Buhay

Breakfast Buffet at Taal Vista Hotel

November 13, 2017 Monday Tagaytay

Room rates in Taal Vista Hotel typically include a breakfast buffet for two persons at their ground floor restaurant called La Veranda.

It’s been a while since I last came here. Their restaurant is newly renovated. I like the color palette, maaliwalas. Edmund doesn’t find it nice naman. When I told him La Veranda is number 3 or 4 Top Restaurant in Tagaytay, he questioned the survey. Who did the survey, what basis? Huwag daw akong maniwala dun. We have different tastes and opinions.

We almost missed breakfast because we were too lazy to get out of bed. Alam mo na kung baketttt. Honeymooners. #tiredfromsleeping Don’t suspect us of doing calisthenics on the bed. We are preserving our energies for our 50th wedding anniversary honeymoon.

The restaurant has different shapes and sizes of longanisa. I was looking for something bigger and longer but they only have the lucban which is tiny. Old women don’t like tiny.

The dried / fried danggit was ultra salty. The bacon was not crispy, a little too makunat for my swaying ipins.

For my finale, I got a cup of champorado and dilis. I prefer tuyo sana.

Dilis is cheaper than tuyo.

Husband didn’t like the coffee cup used for his coffee. It’s too big and it looks more like a soup bowl and the handle is hard to hold, parang dudulas. He went to the bar outside and requested for another cup of coffee.

The newly renovated restaurant also changed their placemats. I am impressed that they have chilewich which retails for at least a thousand pesos each in Rustan’s and $20 in Crate and Barrel in the US.

I scratched my toes from the sharp edges of the table pedestal wrapped in stainless steel. You be careful when you dine here. The edges are really sharp most especially the bottom. It can cut your skin and flesh. Ooouch! Until now I still have blood clots on my left toes.
