We braved the minus 10 degrees temperature to explore the Nerstranda Senter, a shopping mall right in the center of downtown Tromso. Even if the streets were dark and there were very few people around at 7:30 at night we felt safe to walk in the dark. It also helped that our hotel was a block away from Nestranda.
Popular western and Asian chain stores are not here.
We found some really good quality home accessories but it would be difficult to bring home bulky items. Each of us brought only one suitcase each and they are full of bulky winter clothes.
