March 17, 2018 Finland
Our drive thru frozen slippery highway was slower. Driver had to be doubly careful to prevent the wheels of the van from sliding off the road.
After three hours, we stopped at a souvenir shop in the middle of nowhere on our way to Rovaniemi. One would think no one comes here but there were people coming and going for coffee, toilet, souvenir items, and maybe to stretch and break the long drive.
I thought of buying a deer antler but tinamad ako. Our house would look like a hunting lodge if I decorate it with animal parts.
Free coffee, chocolate, hot water, and do nuts for buying customers.
Oyen got hot chocolate. I wanted to but my tooth could hurt the more.
The place looks more like a country store.
Oyen bought one piece of a traditional wooden cup made in Finland
I doubted if this was made in Finland. Maybe from Guangzhou.
My husband showed me where the women’s toilet was.
I thought the dog belonged to the store owner, hindi pala. It belonged to a customer. It was well-trained.
We bought a few souvenir items. My husband bought a hunting knife.
Hindi yan pwede sa Pilipinas, mapupuno lang ng alikabok yugn balahibo.
