My daughter spent her birthday walking around Trafalgar Square and our favorite place to go, Covent Garden.
It bothers me to see street people bundled up in freezing temperature.
Even in rich countries, there are beggars.
Phone booths are for calling and not for peeing.
I could smell pee even from the outside.
Covent Garden is only a 5 minute walk from Trafalgar Square
My daughter went to a stationery store and stayed there for almost an hour.
My husband disappeared so I kept on going back to the corner where we agreed to meet. I got tired walking back and forth so I sat down for 5 minutes on a wooden bench.
A police officer approached me while I was standing at a corner waiting for Edmund. He asked if I have an idea why there are a lot of policemen around.
I said police visibility. He gave me this flyer. He said they are working with the community to make London safer. There have been several problems recently and the people of London are cooperating together to keep their city safer.
Those guys wearing reflective yellow jackets are policemen.
We all feel safer when there are policemen around.
Oyen made a lunch reservation but the restaurant was still closed so we went to a nearby pastry shop to curb our hunger.
Hi Ms. Annie! My name is Anna, a silent reader for a year now, based in the US. My sister Ting told me about your blog and I really enjoy reading about your travels and family happenings. I particularly enjoyed your posts about London and the Arctic. Hope I can visit these destinations in the future. God bless you and your family!
Hi Anna,
Thank you for your message.
It’s not difficult to visit those destinations, you just have to pick a date and go.
Thanks for reading ohmybuhay.
