Edmund and I liked our first dining experience at Tapa Tapa, Bar of Tapas, that we invited Len and Bong to join us for a repeat dinner there.
We went back for the second time with Len and Bong. We told them about our first dining experience and now much we liked the tapas most especially the paella mariscos.
Alitas Explosivo was my new favorite. The chili was not spicy.
This chicken wings look big on this photo but they are actually tiny bites.
Tapas in Spain are small bites or small plates. The orders come in small servings like this malnourished shrimps. Achoo and this could go flying on the other table.
For variety, we ordered this arroz negro which was a mistake. It wasn’t bad but it fell short of our expectations. The understated flavor was equivalent to no flavor.
Remember we ordered seafood paella the first time at this restaurant and I declared that it was the best paella I had ever tasted for a very long time. That changed. The second time, the paella mariscos was not as good as the first one. There was some difference in the ingredients and taste. The first one was a solid 9 and this one was a poor 6. Could it be that this was prepared by a different cook? Baka nagday off yung una.
The tiny scoops of ice cream were still very good.
The number of items looked a lot but they were small bites, hindi nakakabusog. Would we come back at Tapa Tapa should we find ourselves in this part of the world again? Yes, the other dishes were all very good. It was only the paellas that were not consistently delicious.
