As in all goods things, our short holiday in Madrid must come to an end. Today was our last day in this city of our 400-year old relatives. One would think that with that amount of time we were under their rule, we would have inherited their progress or at least the best traits that made their country progressive.
We went out to buy pasalubong for our maids and drivers.
My husband didn’t want to buy cheap t-shirts for the house guard and drivers, Gusto pa nya yung quality at mahal. Little did we know niloloko pa la kami, ninanakaw yung mga gamit namin, naliligo sa pool, mina-manyak pa yung mga maids namin.
The two guys working at this souvenir shop are Filipino, Robin and Joseph.
They were teenagers when they came to Spain to be with their parents. They both speak very fluent Spanish.
This guy has a different gimmick, kunwari he slipped on a banana.
Cool no? I have him one Euro.
There were no street vendors in this area during our first few days here.

More and more cities must set up cemented barriers like this in busy pedestrian streets and side walks to avoid and prevent ill-intended individuals from ramming their vehicle against innocent people.

I still had some store credit points I could use to buy some small items.
Ang problema, the points couldn’t be used to buy cosmetics.
I didn’t want to spend more money so I tried to look for something that fits the amount of my store credit.

It was not a good day to beg outside. The heat was on.
I wasn’t sure if he was begging, resting, praying, or what.
People nowadays are wasteful. They order grande drinks but don’t finish them. They leave the straws and cups anywhere. You people add to the earth’s garbage that’s killing the dolphins, whale, fish, and eventually people too.
Stop using straws of any kind. Dagdag kalat sa mundo.
My husband wanted to buy a pair of rubber shoes but he couldn’t decide which one and what color.
He only likes white rubber shoes.
WE went inside the big department store Primark.

We left the building after only a few minutes. It was too crazy in there.
