After witnessing an actual commuter train pass thru the Maeklong Railway Market over baskets of vegetables and fruits, we headed to the Tha Kha Floating Market some 30 minutes drive.
It was 10:30 am when we reached Tha Kha and the sun was to blame for my lack of enthusiasm to explore outdoors.
In all the places we visited, use of the toilet was Baht 5 per person.
Whatever she was cooking smelled so good. I wanted to buy and eat but we were not supposed to yet.
One thing I noticed was that Thais were tolerant and friendly. I took photos of places, faces, products and they didn’t seem to mind. This lady even helped me take a better photo of what she cooked by moving the plate closer to me.
I noticed that most of the vendors were senior citizens. They need successors to continue their old way of living.
The Tha Kha floating market was smaller than what I had expected. It was far from my imagination of something similar to what I’ve seen on CNN. Not one on a narrow canal but one that faces a wide open picturesque sea. Small as it is, the Tha Kha market is still a good see. I enjoyed our visit because it was quiet and quaint.
