We were brought to the Bangnoi Floating market just a few minutes drive from Tha Kha Floating market to have an R&R. We were going to have a 20-minute foot massage which was included in the tour.

The heat was a la Las Vegas but the sea breeze made it bearable.
By this time I could already feel my energy waning. The heat was draining me.
The massage salon was located along the river some 200 meters from the entrance.
The massage fee was included in the tour package of Baht 6,000 Oyen paid for this whole day tour for the two of us.
There was no air-conditioning but it was pleasant because of the breeze. Only two people at a time could be accommodated so we let our two tour companions go first while Oyen and I explored the shops.
I found the place quite nice and very clean.
Wooden houses were built along the two riversides 40 years ago. These houses are now occupied by commercial establishments, including this massage salon.
After half hour it was our turn to relax. I felt at home, parang nasa probinsya ako because of the wooden house, seat was comfortable, the constant breeze was soothing, the mouths of the masseuses and one other woman couldn’t stop talking. I could not relax. They were making all those sounds that sounded weird because I could not understand Thai. I would not be able to endure 20 minutes of sitting there while hearing all their talking. Mababaliw ako sa kanila. I placed my left finger on my lips and moved my face closer to hers to tell her PLEASE STOP TALKING!!!!
She got it. I knew she told the other two women. They still purred once in a while but they tried to be quiet for the most part. Otherwise I would have walked out. Nakakakulili.
I have trained myself to fully absorb the benefit of relaxation when I go to foot spas. The minute the massage starts, I close my eyes and stop thinking of anything. I do not use my celphone, I do not chat with someone, I do not surf, I do not use any gadget, I don’t even listen to music. I just close my eyes, relax and let my mind and body wander peacefully into a calm plane called sleep. To me that is full relaxation.
