As soon as my husband picked me up from the salon, we barely had a half-hour to run and get ready. I wish I had an extra half-hour to look at the mirror to inspect how I looked, what went wrong and what I could do to make it right. I needed to fix my hair, my make-up. My lashes were so long and heavy. I couldn’t open my eyes wide enough. The black shaggy lash extensions covered the upper part of my vision. That feeling of heaviness made me close my eyes. Wearing heavy fake eyelashes was a bad idea. They strained my eyes and made me feel tired even before I marched down the aisle.
