People who worked hard and climbed their way up to the ladder of success have a more interesting story to tell. It’s nice to reminisce the hardships, the struggles, the challenges. Not that we want drama in every story but I think a life that hurdled the uneven stairs and worked its way to the top is full of inspiring lessons. Lessons about perseverance, determination, focus, inner strength, faith in God and in one’s self. A life well lived, no matter how humbling from the start, is a story everyone wants to tell and wants to hear. It’s inspiring and has a happy ending.
Do not use the multi-millionaires and billionaires as the barometer of your success. Otherwise, we’ll all get depressed and that would be counterproductive. We common people have our own success stories too. We mark our days in simpler terms. As long as we don’t bother our people, we don’t steal from them, we value our jobs, we work an honest living, we go home to a loving family, there’s a roof above our heads, there’s food on the table and our buckets are full of water.
Even the mega-rich get their own fair share of life’s problems too but they are good at solving them. So there you go, it’s not only the ordinary people who face challenges, but the important thing is to live the way God intended us how to live. The way he created us.
