The travel schedule with other dealers is in conflict with Oyen’s cruise holiday with her friend DQ. So it’s just me and my husband joining a group of 20— 18 dealer principals and 2 officers from East West Bank, auto loan division.
I am not excited to leave because I have so many things on my plate that need to be done before December. I feel rushed and harassed. I always feel that way when I am traveling. Feeling busy and overwhelmed, but I still keep on traveling.
I am not bringing my 6 year-0ld lap top because it’s heavy and bulky. I m only bringing my iPad pro. Lately I have discovered that some photos are inverted when I post using my iPad. I haven’t taken the time to figure out what causes the incompatibility so in the meantime, there would be some inverted photos. I would only be able to fix it upon arrival from Greece.
We were the first to check-in. We arrived at the NAIA 3 15 minutes before the check-in counters opened. My husband wanted to make sure we get to the airport ahead of the other passengers so we could change our seat assignments. The travel agent didn’t reserve two adjacent seats so we requested upon check in that we be seated together. Emirates gave us seats 3A and 3B.
We ate dinner before we left home. Ate again at the lounge. After an hour, our travel mates arrived one after the other.
It’s always nice to have Filipino flight attendants on the flights. They make us feel taken cared of and relaxed.
The Flight from Manila to Dubai took eight hours. I was able to watch Serenity, a movie starring Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, and Diane Lane. I didn’t understand what it was all about.
I am thinking of installing LED tivoli lights in our bathroom to make it look like there are twinkling lights. Nice ‘no?
I was able to sleep straight for about 5 hours thanks to Bonamine. I didn’t even feel the turbulence. I only found out when the purser approached Edmund and I to apologize for the bumpiness due to monsoon season. Edmund also slept well so he also didn’t feel the turbulence. That was a blessing, otherwise we would both get nervous. The seats were a little tight.
They didn’t serve a meal after take off. I went to sleep right away. Light snacks such as sandwiches could be requested from the attendants. They served a full breakfast before we landed in Dubai. I had rice and bangus. It was delicious.
I used the plastic wrapper from the pillow to wrap my bag, to protect it from any drinks accidentally spilling on it. Seconds before I dozed off, I heard my husband ordering scotch. When he woke up he was wondering where the glass went. Buti na lang I wrapped my bag. He fell asleep while still holding the wine glasss eh kung sa bag ko tumapon yung alak?
We landed safely in Dubai at 4 am. I felt relieved that we only had one hand-carry and it was very light, almost empty. Emirates didn’t provide a tube, we got off on the tarmac and took a bus to the main terminal. Can you imagine people with a lot of bags going down some shaky stairs?
This guy was more than willing to let me ride on his airport interior shuttle that looks like an extended golf cart. It was a very short ride, (sobrang bitin). We drove past my husband who was walking.
