We have unsafe roads - Oh My Buhay

I squirm in horror every time I see how unsafe our roads are. We have no clue about road safety. Road safety means keeping our citizens safe from dangerous road conditions that could otherwise cause vehicular accidents.

Construction workers leave debris on the road— old pails, hollow blocks, pieces of wood, etc. They don’t bother to place early warning devices to warn motorists of any danger.
Oh sometimes they do, you’ll notice it only when it’s already inches away from your hood.

Along the Santa Rosa – Tagaytay Road, the electrical posts remain standing in the middle of the road and they should be removed ASAP so as not to pose danger to motorists. Posts, construction equipment, parked trucks, parked vehicles, trees, must have reflectorized paint visible at least from 50 meters away.
Sidewalks and barriers must be visible at night by having a reflectorized paint.
Both the broken white lines and yellow lines on the street must be well painted, maintained, and must be reflectorized too. Maraming kalye na wala ng guhit, matagal ng burado. The lines at the center of the road guide the motorists if they are occupying the other lane on two-way streets. There must also be a solid white shoulder line that is reflectorized to warn motorists if they are too near the edge of the roadway.

Those lines are important and help keep motorists stay within their lanes, to avoid them from hitting the other vehicles.

Rumbles or raised road markings and humps must also be painted with reflectorized ink.
