I was halfway to the study room when I heard some commotion coming from the laundry area. It was more than their usual loud kwentuhan so I turned around and hurriedly went down to the kitchen.
The maids were panicking because Oyen’s blind kitten, Vision, was having a seizure.
One of the maids said “Mam, meron siya kiletic”. The other maid was a little bit more accurate “mam, si Bisyon nag pileptic”.
I witnessed how Vision’s whole body was vigorously shaking. Nagku-convulsion sya. Her four legs, her neck. Her whole body was uncontrollably moving. She also looked like she couldn’t breathe. Merong bula sa bibig nya. I initially thought she was choking. She could have picked up something from the floor. I really thought she would die.
Then she stopped jerking, she was motionless for a few seconds. We felt relieved when she started crying.
