At 3 pm gutom na ako. I thought of sending someone to buy me lunch, eat inside my office, or to walk over to Lido Restaurant near Makati Ford’s repair shop and eat alone. Ding ding ding ding. I had a better idea. I invited the admin staff to come join me. “Gusto nyo bang magmeryenda?” I thought only one or two would join me kasi baka busog pa sila from their lunch.
Eto na, they all left their desks and came parading down the stairs. Isang barangay kami.
I ordered lugaw for myself.
I told them to order what they want basta uubusin lang nila.

I found out that one of them, Jen, is getting married on May 1, Â sabi ko parang bridal shower ito. Â Hindi sya mukhang meryenda.
I had buko pandan shake while they all had fresh mango shake.
There were some excess food they brought to the cashiers. Â Â Baka kako kulang cash ko sa dami ng order nila. Â Iiwan ko sila maghugas ng pinggan.
Next time, I ‘ll invite naman the technicians to join me for meryenda.
