Dinner at Summer Palace in Edsa Plaza Hotel

(Delayed post)
April 30, 2022, Saturday
I invited Kuya Lito to join us for dinner in Summer Palace. He is always busy whenever he’s in the Philippines but it was perfect timing. This is the only night he would be in Manila this week. He flew in from Bacolod yesterday and is flying to Mindoro tomorrow.

Oyen reserved a table ahead of time.

We worry about my brother’s being back to his extremely busy and physically taxing work.  I don’t know how he can retire.  By this time he should just be vacationing. He is intensely passionate about his projects and advocacy. He works selflessly to uplift the lives of his employees and their families, many of whom have become affluent.  He continues to make personal sacrifices and he doesn’t do business to enrich himself.  He is the most selfless, kind, and generous person I know. Many of the people he had helped and those he continues to support don’t even appreciate it.   He is investing heavily in helping communities have cheaper electricity.

I asked the waiter to look away kasi baka he didn’t want to get exposed.  He was funny.

I wish Nyke were here too.

Oyen’s dogs are always excited to see her.  The moment they sense she is at the gate, takbuhan na.
