April 14, 2017 Good Friday
I think this was the very first time that I spent the Holy Week abroad. I also missed my yearly panata to distribute ice cold drinking water, cookies, and white towels to the devotees in our town.
I sent 5,000 pesos though for the fresh flowers on the St. John’s carosa.
Today’s Good Friday. We visited the St. James Church steps away from the Old Town.
I placed a small donation in the brown envelope.
The volunteers were busy prepping the church for the 3 pm service. One lady asked me if I was coming back to attend the service. We left and didn’t come back.
The church is on a cliff overlooking the water.
