A visit to the Santa Claus Village in Lapland was one activity I did not want to miss even with a toothache. My daughter picked that tour for me as part of our arctic circle tour. I am a Santa Claus fan and Christmas is a big thing for me.

The whole place was covered with snow and while our shuttle was entering the amusement park I wondered how on earth would I be able to walk around this whole complex.
It was negative 6 degrees outside which required bundling up but when we entered the establishments, it was hot. The heaters were probably set at 30-35 degrees centigrade. Paglabas ng pinto suot ng doble-dobleng jackets. Pagpasok sa loob para akong strip-teaser, isa-isang nababawasan ang aking suot. Nakakapagod talaga.
The amusement park is around 30 minutes drive from the Arctic Snow Hotel in Rovaniemi. They have several attractions including the post office, souvenir shops, reindeer ride, etc. Kids would love it here.
I wanted to buy one reindeer throw pillow but my maleta was filled to the brim with winter jackets.
Edmund wanted to buy one of this to protect his bumbunan and ears from the biting cold. He couldn’t decide which one and hinda daw bagay sa kanya. I think bagay naman, mukha syang KGB.
We entered a room with life-sized statues
and reindeers
We heard that during peak hours, peak days and months here at Santa Claus Village, tourists spend two, three hours to line up for a photo op with Santa. We were lucky there was no queue when we came.
