There was a time when I went to Intercare weekly for acupuncture and myo-therapy . Don’t know if it’s really due to acupuncture but my migraine attacks became less frequent and less severe. For maintenance, I would still have it once in a while. But beginning last year, I stopped going.
Lately, my head has been feeling tight, my neck and shoulders stiff. I also had a moderate migraine attack while I was in the office. A few times I feared I would fall and faint.
Today, I was able to get a “”rushed” appointment for acupuncture. The therapist said “Mam, sige isisingit ko kayo”.
I don’t like this therapy bed. I prefer the wooden framed massage bed.
I bought my dress from New Delhi in Feb 2010 (?) when I joined the business delegation with DTI Secretary Greg Domingo.
The first thing that I do when I feel there’s an onset of headache is to rub the Giga peppermint on my forehead, right shoulder and nape.
Dra. Dizon told me I have to correct my posture. I slouch and it strains my neck and causes my bones to curl. This could also be the cause of my headaches and stiff necks.
They placed a hot compress on my back for 7 minutes then I had myo-therapy for 40 minutes. The therapist concentrated on pressing and massaging my upper back, shoulders and neck. This kind of deep tissue massage hurts a lot.
This nerve point is connected to the brain.
Out of the 12 needles, I only screamed ouch once.
Myo-therapy P1,100 (less 10% if done in conjunction with another treatment)
Acupuncture P1,500 (It keeps getting more and more expensive)
