I received a call from an acquaintance who is probably the importer or distributor of Bulgari
watches and jewelry in the Philippines.
She————- “Hello, is this Anita Tan-Yee?”
Omb———- “This is Annie”.
She was inviting me to Bulgari’s exclusive luncheon daw. She asked if I received the invitation, I said no. She said “Hay, baka yung messenger namin, o sa delivery service”.
“So Anita, can you come tomorrow at eleven? Ha Anita?”
Omb———- “It’s Annie”.
She———– “Sige na Anita, punta ka na, this is very exclusive, only you and a few others are invited”.
Omb——— “It’s Annie. Thanks but I really can’t”.
I told her I have a prior commitment. I would be attending a 10 am board meeting, then I would be going out of town at 12 noon.
“Sige na Anita, it’s an exclusive lunch for 20 people”.
If she had pronounced my name correctly, baka sakali pa nagpunta ako.
