Anne and Arunesh

Anne and Arunesh wed in Koh Kood, Thailand on October 27, 2012.   Aside from their destination  wedding and reception with close family and friends,  another reception was held here in Manila last November 3, for shall we say,  the close friends and golf buddies of the bride’s dad?

I went with Edmund to the beautiful and brand-new modern residence of Albert and Annie (katukayo) in Ayala Alabang .  Albert belongs to Edmund’s Saturday  golf friends which include Benjie Yukimtiao,  our kumpare.  Benjie is the younger brother of Annie,  the bride’s mom.

It’s hard to find something to wear most especially when your curves are in the wrong places.  My dress is new,  I bought it last July in San Francisco and haven’t worn it.   You’ll be surprised with its price.     My maroon bag is maybe  7 years old  from Braun Buffel in Podium. I very seldom use it because of its limited space.

We arrived in Alabang at past 7 pm,  we got lost inside the village,  paikut-ikut kami at pasikut-sikut.  Ang dilim pati doon,  nakakatakot.

We were greeted by two waiters offering rolled white face towels.  Para kaming nasa spa.

husband of mine. Edmund didn’t know whether he would tuck-in his polo shirt kasi pagdaw naka tuck-out halata yung tyan nya. Eh mukha naman siyang mag-oopisina pag naka tuck-in, kaya hayan, naka tuck-out.

Edmund got a drink but returned it after taking a sip kasi it had very strong liquor. I picked the dalandan juice without alcohol.

Reception was in the garden which proved to be uncomfortable as far as I was concerned because the heals of my step-in kept getting stucked in the grass.

Edmund plays golf with this top officials of Mitsubishi Motors every saturday. The Japanese guy, I forgot his name, who’s currently the country president of Mitsubishi Motors was telling me that he had no more money because Edmund always beat him in golf. He showed me his empty wallet to prove his point that he always loses in pustahan to Edmund.

The first bite was extraordinarily good but you can’t have more than 5 bites, after a while it becomes nakakasawa because too creamy and cheesy.

What’s that? Giant seabass. I got a big slice but after a while, naumay ako.

Crepe cake made of thin layers of crepe (of course). I need Julienne to describe this better otherwise to put it simply, it’s pretty to look at, medyo masarap konti and matamis.

_____, her husband Ateng, the newly weds, and Albert the dad.  Anuresh is Indian.  His parents and close relatives flew in to attend a series of receptions.  Anne and Arunesh are going back to Cincinnati, Ohio where they met and would be based.
