I spent two and a half hours with M E this morning at Ford Connecticut. I was supposed to sign four pages of documents which could have taken less than five minutes. Our appointment was at 10 am. We spent the first two hours talking about life, travel and family. After I glanced at my watch, naku it was 12:25 already, that was the only time we focused on the very reason why she was there for. Parang basketball, last two minutes.
It was actually a time well spent. I learned something from her. She said we (the two of us) enjoyed the gift of life. Some parents die young, and leave little children behind. ME is 60 or 61 and she said we were given by God the gift of life. We were able to see our children grow up, graduate from college, and now they’re able to stand on their own two feet. Although we still want to live longer and grow older, at least we didn’t die while our children were still small.
I came home appreciating more my life, God’s gift to me.
