My children and I walked 3 clocks to the Chinese cafeteria they discovered when we arrived in this area. It was drizzling.
I got the scare of my life when we were going to our table. I chose the corner chair, yung sa sulok, I heard Oyen saying, “oh, oh”. I panicked, I thought there’s a giant spider that came out of the tiny corner and it’s crawling on the table and on my jacket. I screamed, dropped my bag and pushed the chairs with my legs so I could get out of that cramped corner. When Oyen told me my jacket’s dragging her food from the plate, I just started crying uncontrollably. I really got so scared. I have arachnophobia. I think I developed that when I was little. During summer season, lots of boys and men would be engaged in spider fighting. My brother would show the spiders to me . He kept them in tiny boxes. Sometimes he would scare me by letting some spiders go out of the box and crawl on my arm. That really scared me to death. I don’t know if this kind of phobia could still be cured.
