Edmund and I love rooting for Filipinos joining contests like the American Idol and Britain’s Got Talent. Last year, we were so involved in Jessica Sanchez’s rise to the number 2 spot on Idol. We held our breaths everytime she was onstage.
Basta may dugong Pinoy, sali kami. Fil-Americans, pure Pinoys, half-half, one-fourth kahit isang tuldok na dugong Filipino, we cheer.
Last night we found another reason to be proud of- an 11 year old Filipina girl named Arisxandra Libantino. She got a standing ovation from the audience and judges at the Britain’s Got Talent when she sang One Night Only by Jessica Hudson.
