ART is my stress buster

I like going to art galleries. I enjoy looking at paintings.
ART is my stress buster.

Of course it can’t be helped that I would get tempted or attracted to one particular piece. It’s like window-shopping in a mall. You see something nice, you say, “Oooh I like that”. it doesn’t mean you would buy it. Tapos you move on to the next store. You see something nice again “Oooh I like that”. Kaya my daughter laughs at me, in every store daw, I say “I like that, Ow that’s nice too. Oh I like that one”.

It also depends on mood. Sometimes for several months I don’t look at art. Tapos bigla na lang nasa mood uli ako.

Look at this one, I saw this at a gallery in SM Megamall, I forgot which particular one. Maybe at Heritage Center. Lahat kasi pinupuntahan ko nalimutan ko na tuloy kung saan ito. Very nice no? Parang litrato (picture). Can you see the artist’s signature? I can’t.

I find his style similar to Zalameda’s.

Asking price for this painting is P650,000 syempre meron pa yung discount. Long long time ago, I fell in love with a Zalameda oil on canvass this size. I saw it at a gallery on the lower ground floor of Podium. The price tag was P250,000. I found it very expensive. Of course I didn’t buy it. Tapos ngayon pala P650k na.

My family understands my appreciation for art. My children are shown here waiting while their mother hopped from one gallery to another. Puro tingin lang naman.
