According to CBS News, San Francisco resident and crash survivor Benjamin Levy said the plane was flying low and it hit the seawall barrier at the end of the runway.

Its tail broke off and the two dead 16 year old students from Eastern China, Ye Mengyuan and Wang Linjia were the first casualties because they were in the rear end of the plane.

Most of the passengers were able to get out before the fire broke out kaya konti lang ang casualties.

All flights coming and going to SFO Int’l Airport have been cancelled. I am worried about my brother and his family. They’re all going back from JFK NY to SFO tonight on different flights. Pihado flights would be delayed.

One good thing that I have observed with Americans, when they’re dealing with tragic situations, is that they don’t make any conclusions until after all facts have been out. Notice how they answer questions regarding a situation. They don’t give their personal opinions, they rely on facts. In the Philippines, before the police even reached the scene of the crime, they have made their personal conclusions. Mahilig tayo sa BAKA, SIGURADO ANO YAN, TINGIN NAMIN. Even reporters in the Philippines couldn’t help but give their personal haka-haka which is a violation of their code. Dapat reporting of facts lang sila, not commentary.

Travelling is fun upon reaching our destinations. But while still on the plane, I always feel agitated and anxious. Nerbyos pa rin ako no matter how frequent I fly. There’s no getting used to it. The older I get, the more nerbyosa I become.

When the plane starts to shake, lahat ng santo natatawag ko. In ten seconds, nakapag rosaryo na yata ako sa takot.

Oh Lord, please keep us all safe. Every where we go. Every second of the day.
