Enzo, Edmund’s golf friend, told him about the health benefits of the herbal plant Asitava or Asi Tava, also known as Cuban Cilantro.
Some are saying that it possesses anti-hypertension, anti-diabetes qualities, and could lower bad cholesterol levels. Others say that it is an anti-cancer plant because it enhances the immune system. It also aids in digestion.
Edmund bought a stem and planted it in a bigger pot.
The leaves tasted good especially when we mixed them with lettuce and tomato salad.

They should be.
can this be eaten with other food, like put it in a sandwich?
Yes, you may mix it with any dish. It can be eaten raw.
Hi Annie!
I think you have the Gyunura Procumbens. The ridges on the leaves of Ashitaba is more pronounced, it looks like parsley. Sometimes, the seller doesn’t know that they have Gyunura and would sell it as Ashitaba.
here’s a photo of Ashitaba. 🙂
