ATM users Beware - Oh My Buhay

Last week, one of Makati Ford’s sales consultant, Dianne, collapsed.
As soon as I was informed, I hurriedly went to their sales office and found her lying on her right side on the carpeted floor, with her mga kasambaho trying to revive her. One was holding a
Katinko close to her nose, hoping the smell would bring her back to life. The other guy
was rubbing her back, not knowing what to do. One girl was massaging her legs and arms.
Dianne looked as if she was in a deep sleep.

I instructed them to carry her and bring her to the hospital.

She’s back on her feet the next day. I called her to my office to find out more about what
happened to her. I wanted to be sure that she’s not
suffering from any sickness.

She said she got exhausted from the extreme heat and the unexpected event that happened to her that day. She had a full breakfast, went to BPI in
Tenement, Taguig, and withdrew P50,000 cash for her daughter’s enrolment.

It was around 7 am. While she was waiting in line at the BPI ATM, there were two other
people standing in line next to her. A guy and a woman.

She withdrew P50,000 and placed it inside an envelope. There’s another P50,000 inside
that envelope which she’s been keeping for her daughter’s tuition fees. After she withdrew
the P50k, she placed it in the same envelope where the other P50,000 was.
Then the guy behind her grabbed the envelope, ran and disappeared among the nearby palengke
crowd.

ATM users beware. This happens all the time.

What happened was too much for her to bear. Shock, depression, anger,
intense heat, worry, nagkahalu-halo, hayun, nahimatay sya. And I was told by her kasambaho that she didn’t eat for lunch because she had no appetite. Losing a hundred grand would definitely curb anyone’s appetite.

Avoid carrying large sums of money. Do not think that it could not happen to you. Do not be too confident annd complacent.

Get a manager’s check from the bank to pay for the tuition fee.

Nakakahinayang, napakalaking pera.

She’s a young mom, working hard for her two children’s welfare. Her husband left
her when she was pregnant with her second child. That was 9 years ago.
