Back to Namdaemun Market

My daughter wanted to go back to Namdaemun Market out of mere curiosity. Kasi when the tour guide brought us there during our city tour, we just walked by, we didn’t even get a chance to stop even for 5 minutes.

We were supposed to take a cab kala ko kasi it’s far, buti na lang I inquired first at the front desk. He told me it’s just a 5 minute walk.
It was a beautiful day to walk. The temperature was 3 degrees. Still cold but at least it’s not negative 5.

Our landmark was the Shinsegae shopping mall. We stopped to ask for direction to double check if we’re on the right track, tama naman.

There’s a woman who mistook me for a Chinese actress daw from Guangzhou, China.
That started a barrage of teasing from my husband. I don’t use lotion, what more daw if I put anti-aging stuff on my face. Artistahin daw ako, etc. Nakatuwaan ako ni husband.

As we pass between the two Shinsegae mall buildings, we noticed the valet taking photos of customer vehicles before they were brought to the parking lot.

We could apply that in our own service facility. Instead of manually checking each and every scratch or dent, our service advisor could take videos of vehicles for future reference. I approached the fellows to take a closer look at what kind of special camera they were using. Ordinary camera lang pwede na.

The Namdaemun market is right behind the ultra high end Shinsegae malls.
What a great contrast.

E————“Walang kupas talaga ang mommy,  Napapatingin ang mga tao”.

A————“Tart, nakatingin sila kasi iniintay kung bibili tayo ng tinda nila”.

E————“Hindi,  yung mga namimili ang napapalingon….”

(Hmmm, nasa mood sya,  sige na nga, thank you for the compliments.)

We should have Tourist Information booths like this in Divisoria and in other major places of interest.

They gave us a map containing additional info.

If you want to buy and sell cheap clothes, bags, housewares, shoes, fashion accessories, jewelries, textile, homegoods, this could be a good place to source for supply, para talagang Divi.

We didn’t buy anything except for buns and pastry.

Edmund is still craving for the freshly baked bitso-bitso we found at the Namdaemun market.  W2,000 for several pieces (Php 83)

This guy stands outside of the jewelry shops, inviting potential customers to walk in.  When I asked if I could take a photo of his hair,  he gamely posed.
