Baguio market

We went out of the hotel after lunch and walked to the outlet shopping area down below.

Wala naman kami nabili. Ah meron pala, I bought kumot and handtowels handwoven from Ilocos.
Mura lang naman, the handtowels were P50 a piece and the kumot was P220. Parang tulong na rin dun sa mga katutubo sa Ilocos.

Our next destination was the market. We passed thru the highly congested Session Road then made a u-turn somewhere.

I bought three varieties of upland rice. We’ll see kung alin ang mas masarap.

I was buying strawberries while this A’le ay kalabit ng kalabit. Yan ang strategy nila, hanggang mainis ka para bibigyan mo sila para tumigil ng kalabit. Bigyan mo ng piso and observe the look on her face. Nangungusap ang mata. Para bang “Are you insulting me? Anong mabibili ko sa piso?”
Even if you give P20 each, they don’t say thank you.

I listened for a while but the mayor’s speech was in Ilocano. Mayor Domogan served for 3 terms as Baguio City’s congressman. He was also mayor for 3 terms. Based on that alone, one could tell that he’s the people’s favorite. He probably would be re-elected.
