Before heading back to Manila, we went to Balay Dako by Antonio’s for an early dinner. Mabuti na yung busog bago kami sumabak sa heavy traffic.

Literally means “big house”, Balay Dako is the newest restaurant of Chef Antonio “Tonyboy” Escalante.

It’s really a big house. It reminds me of the Spanish era’s hacienda mansion. Yung bahay ni Don Pedro.

Tagaytay’s majestic Taal Lake and volcano, can be seen from the dining area.

My companion is still watching his diet. He didn’t order any food for himself, we just shared a huge swimming pool of sinigang sa miso with a thin slice of salmon and tortang alimasag. salmon sinigang sa miso and tortang alimasag
