November 12, 2017 Sunday, Tagaytay
It makes life a lot easier when we are in Tagaytay because 90% of the time my husband would choose to have dinner in Balay Dako. It’s hard to guess what he is in the mood for or where he wants to eat that’s why I rather that he does the choosing. But when in Tagaytay, it’s easier because he likes to go to Balay Dako. I say he doesn’t love love it but it’s a fair enough deal for him.
So on the first night of our honeymoon in Tagaytay, we went to Balay Dako na naman.
We were number 12 on the waiting list so I killed time by shopping at the souvenirs section on the left side of the lobby.
I spent more than eight hundred pesos for chichirya.
We were number 9 when I came back.
A—-“Tart number 9 na”.
E—-“Kainin muna natin ‘to”.
From number 12 to 0 took some 25 minutes.
Service was a little slow so we curbed our hunger by eating the mini galletas I bought from their store.
We ordered bistek Tagalog, pritong hito, sinigang sa miso na salmon which looked like kare-kare.
It doesn’t look appetizing when there are spills around the bowl’s rim. The server should have wiped this clean before bringing to our table.
The bistek Tagalog looked delicious but Edmund found a strand of hair so he returned this. We didn’t order another Bistek Tagalog kasi baka the tray would be served back to us. We just ordered grilled liempo as replacement.
Husband and wife favorite, fried hito.
Guinumis for Edmund. He said he didn’t taste the coconut milk.
First night of honeymoon was spent eating polvoron, watching tv, and sleeping. #PureLove #NoMalice #Respect. Hay ang sarap matulog especially because each of us have one queen bed each. Meron pa ako jetlag. #privacy #freedom

I thought I was the only one awake at 5 am, when I went out of the room’s balcony, there were two groups taking pictures too from their respective balconies.
I took photos again between 6 to 6:30 am.
Taal Lake has a magnificent presence. I’ve had several opportunities to own a property along the ridge but for some reason I never seriously pursued it. The closest was maybe 12 years ago when a 1,000 square meter lot owned by a British expat married to a Filipina was offered to me. They moved to Hongkong. Pwede daw installment. I brought Edmund, Oyen and Nyke to the property one Sunday morning. I was uneasy because the caretaker has huge dogs kahul ng kahol parang gusto kaming lapain. We loved the view but the vertical drop was intimidating. Edmund said it would take a lot of money to fortify that side of the ridge kasi parang 15 meters high or more. Takot ako mahulog sa bangin kung pumutok ang bulkan.
