Balducci - Oh My Buhay

Edmund and I reached Tagaytay from Nasugbu at 5:30 pm due to snail-paced traffic along Aguinaldo Highway.
We stopped for a while at a corner to meet the housemaid being recommended to me. I gave her P1,500 to pay for her alleged cash advance from her employer in Mendez, Cavite, and another P150 for her transportation from Tagaytay to SM Megamall where she would supposed to be picked up by my driver.

Alanganin to eat dinner in Tagaytay because it’s only 6 pm and traffic was so heavy. Edmund said we’ll just eat “pagnakababa na kami”.

My husband and I went to Balducci at Bonifacio High Street. Our number one criteria was it has to be quiet and not with too many people. We were both in tsinelas, although the restaurant looked formal, they let us in.

Edmund dined here once with the former president of Ford Group Philippines Rick Baker who is half Italian and half American.

The pate is very good. I requested for another serving. Spread it on pizza bread

This seafood soup is perfect for me. The soup is light and no cream at all. The mixture of clams, lobster, prawns, squid
mussles made the broth flavorful. The waiter was right, it’s a meal in itself.

Edmund’s Grecco salad is similar to the one we always ordered in CYMA

I was so full from the soup and pate I couldn’t eat even a slice of pizza. Edmund brought home most of it and fed to our dogs.

Saturday dinner with hasbanda. It’s like a business meeting because we talked about our work. I am so stressed out kasi, Oyen too. But Edmund calmed my nerves down by assuring me that everything would be alright.

  1. Hi Annie,
When you and your family are in the Bay Area – I hope we’ll be able to have lunch at Phil’s Fish Market in Moss Landing. They have one of the Best CIOPPINO we always order it and some of their seafood. Moss Landing is like a fish port, kaya they have fresh catch everytime.
    Btw, we bought our 2 Phil’s gift cards at $79.00 ( for $50. each = $100.) from Costco – discount di ba ? 😉
You can visit their website , http://www.philsfishmarket.com and click Menu.
You can also have some stories to tell dito sa ohmybuhay when you visit Moss Landing and the vicinity. Take care!

  2. Thank you Bes, I thought you are here in Manila. I thought you’re coming on monday at the launch.

    1. Oooh, I’m very sorry for not letting you know that I am based in CA. ( Bay Area) Kung nandyan lang ako, I would not miss it – sayang!

P.S, Thanks for the e-invite sa email ko. Take care Annie. 🙂
