Bally used to dominate my shoe rack. There was a time when I had four pairs of black, one red, one gold, one white, two navy, of the same style, flat with ribbon. They were very comfortable. There was no need of break-in period. And the shoes were not so expensive. I had pairs I bought for only US$60, $80, and most were just around a hundred dollars. That was 20 years ago. Syempre mura pa non. Ngayon sobra ng mahal.
I stopped buying Bally bags and shoes. Parang nasawa ako or maybe they changed their designs, which didn’t appeal to me.
I never liked shopping in Harbour City, nahihilo ako sa pasikut-sikot. There are many hallways. Hindi maaliwalas.
I accidentally found myself inside this high end shopping mall when my son and I split our schedule. I wanted him to enjoy some freedom to go around the area by himself, and to shop alone.
As usual I got lost in the building. I was walking without direction. I looked around and saw the Bally store. I was beginning to have a headache, I just wanted to sit down for a while to rest.
Nahiya naman ako na makiupo ng matagal. I stood up and looked at the shelf right beside the ottoman. They have some loafers. Maka bili nga, I need a pair of comfortable walking shoes for traveling.
I tried on the 7 1/2 size, eksakto lang. The size 8 is maluwag naman, nahuhubo. I got the size 7.5, luluwag pa naman yan pag naluma.
The sales lady made me fill out a one page card for international guarantee. There’s a one year warranty on workmanship or quality.
I should have gotten the size 8 to give allowance to socks. It would be tight to wear a 7.5 because there’s no allowance for stockings or socks. We’re traveling to a very cold country soon. I would need socks.
