I was leaving Bangkok with an intention to come back as fast as I could. The reasons were flimsy: I wanted to have another foot massage (addict) and I wanted to go back to Chinatown to buy a small gold jewelry as a Christmas gift for someone really special to me. More for the second reason.
But it was time to go home.
Suvarnabhumi International Airport
Ninety percent of Thais are Buddhists with Hindu influence while 2% are Muslims, 2% Christians, 1% Sikh Hindu, and the rest are either non-practicing any religion or believing in some other spiritual and religious beliefs.
Good we were a bit early. The line at the PAL check-in counter was long and mabagal.
After checking-in we looked for the airport lounge. When we passed in front of the Hermes Boutique my daughter told me to go in.
When Oyen was a few months old I bought her a pair of the most expensive corrective shoes, kesyo the shoes could help her unstable feet and prevent knock knees. I paid P180 for the pair and I thought they were very expensive but I just had to buy them for my baby’s sake. I wonder how it’s like for mom’s who buy their babies thousand dollar shoes.
Pag meron na akong apo na girl, I will buy her a pair of Hermes shoes, not while she’s still a baby but on her college graduation day!
I was done shopping in the city. I only bought cheap stuff, nakakatuwa.
We had more than an hour to wait so we looked for the lounge.
Impressive lobby
I hope what I see is what I get, unlike at the PAL lounge where the shrimp noodle on display had more shrimps than what they served me.
I ate a full meal of 2 1/5 orders of Hainan Chicken Rice.
I drank four small glasses of guava juice. I diluted it with 1/4 water.
I must say that the food here at the Miracle Lounge is fairly good.
I particularly liked the super soft tuna sandwich. The only downside was they were individually plastic-wrapped, a big contribution to world’s garbage.
We bought 9 trays of sticky rice with mango. They gave us a discount of Baht 200 each. It’s cheaper to buy outside, in the city.
I almost gave up on my VAT refund kasi the line was long and processing was slower than expected. I was becoming anxious we might miss our flight. It was good that we arrived at the airport earlier than necessary.
