Edmund and I had dinner in Bawai’s restaurant last week after we heard mass. Last night, all of us went back for dinner. It’s becoming our favorite restaurant for two reasons- it’s very near our residence and my children love Vietnamese food.
We basically ordered the same things. Fresh spring rolls, prawns with tamarind, prawns with noodles, pork liempo, beef noodle soup. They only have two kinds of dessert and we ordered both. I just found the ice cream serving too little. Parang half-scoop lang. Kaya last week, I had two orders.
My companion didn’t notice that I ordered ice cream again.
Last night, we went back. Although Oyen’s plan was to bring us to a place near Ateneo in Katipunan, called Gino’s Pizza. Traffic last night around this area was very heavy that’s why we opted for Bawai, which was closer.
Yen tried this for the first time. It’s not bad but it was not something I would remember and crave for.
Edmund’s order. I ate the mushroom pie.
The tamarind sauce was yummy but we had difficulty removing the prawn shell.
Overcooked by 30 seconds perhaps?
This time I didn’t have any dessert. My son had the basil ice cream. I just drank fresh dalandan juice when we got home. Edmund ate saging.
