Been busy lately - Oh My Buhay

November 27, 2018 Tuesday

I felt so tired after running back and forth from the office to the conference room where I had four and a half hours long meeting. I allotted two hours maximum for this group but our meeting stretched from 2:30 pm up to past 7 pm.

I must have walked (one time ran) back and forth a dozen times. Good exercise.

I got home at almost 8 pm and I fell asleep while watching my favorite HGTV show because I was exhausted. I opened my eyes when I heard my husband saying “tart, matulog ka na”. Ay tulog na nga ako, nagising ako sa salita nya.

I’ve been extremely busy lately. Last week I was trying to plan for my 2019 and divide the twelve months among the many things I wanted to do but I ran out of months, dapat 14 months.

My daughter said my 2019 is already full and I will be out most of the time.

Would you believe I still want to go to school and attend classes?
I am thinking of attending some serious stuff like Arbitration, Mediation, Negotiations. These topics sound like lawyer stuff but not really. Even entrepreneurs or any one can make use of the knowledge learned from these classes. I have identified two schools that conduct these classes and lately they’ve been bombarding me with daily emails. My problem is the scheduling.
One school is in Massachusetts and my daughter told me I might not be able to withstand the winter cold. One university is in Las Vegas offering summer classes. Extremes naman dun, baka lumutong naman ako sa init. I am still working on my schedule. I intend to attend in both one after the other. Talaga ha? Joke.

One morning I woke up thinking that helping two quarreling parties was a good civic endeavor. Parang makakatulong ako sa mga corporations and individuals. So I gave a friend a call who is the president of a mediation board and he welcomed my interest in becoming an arbiter or mediator. Offhand he told me I could be a lecturer. They prefer executives who are NOT lawyers. I got excited thinking that I would be doing something good to help parties come into a peaceful agreement. Honestly I doubt my persuasive powers.

When I mentioned this to my daughter, she told me why don’t I do something more fun. The classes are of serious stuff and she suggests that I just take-up a course on art or design or something, basta yung hindi serious. Hindi boring.

So now, I am thinking, oo nga, if I will devote my years trying to referee fighting corporations and yelling individuals, my God, that would be stressful. Baka lalo akong tumanda at kumulubot.
